“…it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” – 1 Corinthians 13: 4-6

I hope everyone had a great Presidents Day weekend! We will be continuing to learn about Presidents this week. We will also focus on the letter “Yy” with “Yolanda Yak,” the puppet, and learn the months of the year.

In Math, we will reinforce the value of dimes, nickels, and pennies. We will also be telling time to the hour and the ½ hour, as well as continuing to work on simple addition. Whenever you think of it, keep reinforcing these concepts at home… but make it fun so it seems like a game.

If anyone still has their jog-a-thon envelopes to turn in, please have those in by Friday.  We really appreciate that!

We will be going on our next fieldtrip soon and it will be to…In-N-Out!!! In preparation for that fieldtrip, we will begin a unit on manners. Since it’s George Washington’s birthday on Thursday, we’ll be doing a little research on manners then and manners now. I’ll let you all know very shortly of the exact date of our fieldtrip.

We hope that you are all enjoying the time reading with your kids these days! They impress me every day with how quickly they learn! They are truly growing in leaps and bounds and I hope you’re enjoying that at home as well!

We are starting the “Pennies for Patients” Fundraiser this Tuesday and it will go through March 9th. There is a sheet in this week’s packet about the fundraiser. Have a great week!
