This just might be our busiest week of the year as we prepare for open house and grandparents day!
Open House is this Thursday evening. The festivities start at 5:40pm when all the kindergarteners need to be in the kindergarten classroom. The mini spring sing, which your students have been rehearsing for, will begin at 6pm and then the Open House walk through starts at 6:30 and goes until 8pm. PLEASE have students here by 5:40! Boys need to wear dark pants (blue or black) and a white or blue PVC polo. Girls should wear the same or they can wear a free dress skirt with a blue or black PVC polo. On that day we will have an early dismissal at 11:30am, but we will still have lunch and daycare available.
Grandparents Day is this Friday. The whole day is devoted to our wonderful grandparents. They can come to school in the morning with the children. Students will begin class at 8:30am while the grandparents eat and listen to live music. From 9:45 until 10:15am all of the rooms will be open for grandparents an grandchildren to walk though. Our special grandparents day assembly and celebration begins at 10:30am and everyone will be dismissed around 11:15am. There will be no daycare or lunch provided on that day, so grandparents and grandchildren can leave campus together.
Our next fieldtrip will be on the 22nd of this month and we will be going to the Channel Islands nature center! We’ll have lots of fun learning about marine life. Driving sign-ups are above the cubbies. Please return the fieldtrip permission forms as soon as possible.
