These are the standards by which I will grade projects throughout the semester. Each student knows this and understands that 5 points = A on every project and so on.

REMINDER: Students are to bring their sketch books to every art class!!

Sixth Grade News

Welcome 6th Grade! This is an exciting year in art for you as you will have an art class every day except Wednesday. Also new will be the idea that you are working for a letter grade, not just an effort grade, so make sure to do all your assignments! We will have fun projects, a little homework, a few quizzes and a final Test.

Fantasy Art – Acrylic paint on canvas

Homework: Look up black and white and bring in a definition for each. Think about what bug or insect you would like to use for the project and have an idea ready to sketch out on Monday.
2 sketches per week due every Tuesday. Look up definitions for 1 and 2 point perspective. Due Tues, March 1st. 2 Pt Perspective cityscape due Tuesday, March 22

Seventh Grade News

Welcome 7th grade students and parents! As we start this new semester of art, I hope that you will all find this to be an enjoyable time of learning and achieving. We will start the semester off by reviewing the class Rubric and creating posters “advertising” the rubrics. These will be hung in the art room when completed. Come by and see them!
