Educational Resources

We believe in providing tailored support to enhance each student’s educational experience, which is why we offer specialized programs such as R.O.A.R. and P.A.W.S., designed to meet individual academic needs and promote a nurturing learning environment.

R.O.A.R. (Resource Opportunities for Academic Rewards)

At Pleasant Valley Christian School, we understand the importance of mastering foundational subjects like math and language arts. That’s why we offer the R.O.A.R. program, designed to provide students with direct support from our resource teachers. This initiative focuses on reinforcing key concepts through individualized plans tailored to each student’s needs. Students are referred to the program by their classroom teachers, ensuring that those who can benefit the most from additional help are given the attention they require. By assessing and addressing specific educational needs, R.O.A.R. helps students build a strong academic foundation and boost their confidence in these critical areas.

P.A.W.S. (Peer Academic Work Support)

For students seeking homework help and tutoring, our P.A.W.S. program provides a supportive after-school environment. This program is unique as it leverages the skills and knowledge of our qualified 8th-grade volunteers, who provide tutoring twice a week. While contingent on the availability of these dedicated volunteers, P.A.W.S. is an excellent resource for students needing extra help or a bit more practice with their schoolwork. Overseen by our resource teachers, this program not only aids younger students academically but also fosters a sense of community and peer support within our school, enhancing both academic performance and interpersonal relationships.
